Military Tales is a passion project of ours where we’ve collected hundreds of thousands of images from service members, the National Archives, and other sources. To prevent these important historical photos from being lost to “bit rot,” we wanted to publish them online in an organized way.

The challenge was the sheer volume of images. We needed to sort, catalog, and rotate high-resolution scans, then create a thumbnail, a WordPress post, and a video for each—a monumental and time-consuming task.

That’s why we added the Military Tales Option to Chronos. We’ve automated most of the workflow, allowing us to create posts and videos in just minutes.
